<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a highly precise sphygmomanometry irrelevant to the circumference length of a measurement object part. <P>SOLUTION: Prior to the calculation of the blood pressure, air is enclosed in a sphygmomanometry bag to be worn by winding around the sphygmomanometry object part beforehand, and the circumference length of the measurement object part is grasped based on a pressure change (ST1) in a process where the appropriateness of the winding relative to the measurement object part is determined by referring to the pressure change. Later, when shifting to the sphygmomanometry, the pressure applied to the sphygmomanometry bag is increased or decompressed (ST2 and ST3) to detect the pressure in the sphygmomanometry bag. The blood pressure based on the detected pressure is calculated according to the pre-grasped circumference length of the measurement object part (ST5 and ST50-ST5n). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
