<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact force absorbing device and an impact force absorbing method capable of assuring a safety of a driver by absorbing an impact force for a riding person even if own vehicle is collided from behind by another vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a wheel speed detecting means for detecting a rotation speed of a wheel, an acceleration detecting means for detecting an acceleration of a vehicle, a braking control means for controlling a braking force of a braking device and a power control means for controlling an output of the powder device so as to absorb an impact force accompanied by a collision from behind by another vehicle. When the detected acceleration is larger than a predetermined value and a detected rotation speed is faster than a predetermined value, a signal indicating an acceleration is transmitted to the power control means. When the detected acceleration is larger than a predetermined value and the detected rotating speed is slower than a predetermined value, a signal for indicating a reduction of braking force is transmitted to the braking control means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
