PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for a volume type hologram and a resin composition for a surface relief type hologram which have high forgery prevention effect and superior foil breaking property, and a hologram layer and hologram transfer foil which use them. SOLUTION: Provided is the resin composition for the volume type hologram which has at least one kind of photopolymerizable compound, a photopolymerization initiator, and particulates, the resin composition for the volume type hologram being characterized in that the particulates show magnetic resonance.
