PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the use of cooling water in a heat exchanger of a decompression means. SOLUTION: In this control method of the decompressing device 1 for decompressing a treating tank 2 by the decompression means 11 including the heat exchanger 6, the tank 2 is gradually decompressed by controlling the supply of cooling water for the heat exchanger 6.
