PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking device to be used for frying, broiling and boiling cooking while sufficiently reducing burden on cooking work, and to provide a cooking method using the same. SOLUTION: An operation panel 1 provided on the cooking device has a cooking type selection part 3 for selecting one of a plurality of cooking types, a cooking temperature display part 7 for displaying a cooking temperature adequate for the selected cooking type, and a cooking time display part 11 for displaying a cooking time adequate for the selected cooking type.
