PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam turbine which generates little vibration, therefore provides a good operability, and is of high and intermediate pressure turbines integration type which provides high output. SOLUTION: The turbine, which has a power generation end rated output of 900MW or more, and is composed of a high pressure turbine 35, an intermediate pressure turbine 36 and low pressure turbines 37, 38, and wherein the high pressure turbine 35 and the intermediate pressure turbine 36 are housed in a casing which is integrally formed, and also a turbine rotor 31 is commonly used by the high pressure turbine 35 and the intermediate pressure turbine 36, is of high and intermediate pressure turbines integration type, and of a structure wherein a gland packing 64 is mounted to the wheel (60) of at least either of the last stage of the high pressure turbine 35 or the intermediate pressure turbine 36 or the stages ahead and behind an intermediate gland.
