PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skirt having a waist size adjusting mechanism comprising sliding type adjuster, provided with a slide fastener at the side fitting part of front and back body parts, causing no pulling phenomenon on the body part fabric without requiring another new member or complicated sewing process, and enabling natural size adjustment while a silhouette original to the skirt is not spoiled. SOLUTION: The skirt has the following structure: the slide fastener 6 at the side fitting part 3 for the front and back body parts 1, 2 is arranged between the back side end of the inner fabric P1 of a side pocket P set at the rear surface of the front body part 1 of the side fitting part 3, and the front side end of the back body part 2, and also part of the sewn-up side end of the slide fastener 6 at the upper end of the inner fabric P1 of the side pocket P is let free without being sewn to a waist belt 4 of the front body part 1. It is preferable that the length of the unsewn free part is set to be almost half or more of the moving distance of a hook metal 52 on a slide rail 53 of the sliding type adjuster 5.
