PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce metal products having complicated shape with the reduced number of stages by applying a metal powder HIP technique with respect to the metal product and its production method. SOLUTION: A sintered compact 4 of alloy steel powder for a machine structural use with long-length shape in which gears are continued by applying a HIP technique. At first, using soft steel or stainless steel, a capsule is produced in such a manner that its airtightness is made high and its inside shape is made the long-length one 4, and the capsule is packed with alloy steel powder for machine structural use. Thereafter, deaeration sealing is performed, and the inside of the capsule is airtightly sealed. Further, a core made of steel has been inserted into the part of a through hole 4a. It is set in a HIP device, and, HIP treatment is performed using prescribed temperature and pressure pattern, and at the time when the sintered compact 4 of alloy steel powder for machine structural use is obtained, the capsule material tightly stuck to the surface is removed, and it is cut to a prescribed length by a slicing machine using a diamond edge, thus gears with complicated shape can be produced by many pieces at a time in the reduced number of stages.
