PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for food packaging which excels in the balance of transparency and stiffness, generates little odor and which is furthermore excellent in color stability, and a molded article for food packaging comprising the same. SOLUTION: The resin composition for food packaging comprises 100 pts.wt. of a polypropylene resin (A), 0.1-1 pts.wt. of a rosin type crystal nucleating agent (B), 0.001-1 pts.wt. of phosphites (C) represented by general formula (I). In addition, a resin composition for food packaging comprises 0.005-0.5 pts.wt. of a fatty acid calcium salt further to the above resin composition for food packaging in relation to 100 pts.wt. of the polypropylene resin (A).
