<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To represent time of a day by music to provide a function of a clock. <P>SOLUTION: In a chrono-music section, time information generated by a time generating section 10 is obtained based on the tempo generated by a tempo generating section 11 and a pitch generating section 12 and a note generating section 13 generate corresponding note information using hour, minute and second information. In a MIDI output section 14, the note information is converted into MIDI data and played by a MIDI sound source section 15. Playing similar to a phrase is made possible by providing appropriate delay to each note information corresponding to hour, minute and second. In a time poetry section, time information is obtained by an arbitrary timing, a word generating section 16 randomly selects a word from a plurality of registered words and generates a text combining the time information and a speech section 17 reads the text with synthesized voice.
