<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which color images of high image quality and high grade can stably be formed over a prolonged period of time, and in which excellent transferring and cleaning performances can be ensured. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming method including at least an electrostatic latent image forming step of forming an electrostatic latent image on an electrostatic charge image carrier; a developing step of forming a toner image by developing the electrostatic latent image with a toner-containing developer; a transfer step of transferring the toner image onto a transfer member; and a fixing step of heat-fixing the toner image on a surface of a recording medium, a contact angle of a surface of the electrostatic charge image carrier to water is ≥95°, a surface toughness Rz thereof is ≤2 μm, and a small diameter side particle size distribution of number average particle diameter of the toner is ≤1.24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
