<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor element for detecting an angular speed and an acceleration, capable of reducing a loading space. <P>SOLUTION: When detecting the angular speed, vibrating reeds 11, 12 are vibrated by applying a driving voltage to a vibrator 10, to thereby perform angular speed detection. When detecting the acceleration, vibration of the vibrating reeds 11, 12 is stopped by stopping application of the driving voltage to the vibrator 10, to thereby perform acceleration detection. Therefore, both the angular speed detection and the acceleration detection can be performed in an element part equipped with only one tuning-fork vibrator, and the loading space can be reduced compared with the case where sensor elements for detecting the angular speed and the acceleration are provided individually respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
