<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device etc., that can realize smooth moving picture display even when a moving body moves at a slow speed and is adaptive to even fast-speed movement. <P>SOLUTION: The video display device 100 comprises a liquid crystal display device 11, a control part 12, and a speed detection part 13. The liquid crystal display device 11 is constituted by arraying a plurality of liquid crystal devices 11-1, 11-2, 11-3, ..., 11-n in a line at no intervals where they can be seen from a traveling electric train that passengers ride on along the path of the electric train 4. When a picture is displayed, a control part 12 performs control to display a plurality of still pictures at given positions of the liquid crystal display device 11 in given timing according to the speed of the electric train 4 detected by a speed detection part 13. Consequently, the relative speed between the display pictures and electric train 4 increases, so even when the electric train 4 moves at a slow speed, natural and smooth moving picture display can be realized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
