<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote starter for a vehicle, capable of checking if switches such as a hood switch and sensors have no abnormality when the device is installed, and detecting if the switches have abnormality or not after the device is installed. <P>SOLUTION: This remote starter is installed on a vehicle, and power is charged by an operator, and a control devices gives instructions for operation of a door, a hood, a brake pedal, etc. It recognizes change of input signals from an IGSW 3, a door curtain SW4, the hood SW6, etc., to check if the switches and sensors have no abnormality. In a case they have any, registration is not done, and remote start functions are prohibited.
