PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable utilization of a voice interface without increasing load of a controller which controls operation of the main part of household appliances.

SOLUTION: A wireless adapter 7 and a speaker 8 are attached to a household appliance 6 such as a refrigerator 4 or microwave 5 as an optional equipment. The wireless adapter 7 transmits a cooking ending signal to a home server 9 through a sub-network 2 when it receives the cooking ending signal from the microwave 5. The home server 9 transmits the cooking ending signal to an information server 10 through an internet 3. Voice code information such as "cooking is completed." is saved beforehand at the wireless adapter 7. When a request signal for voice synthesis is transmitted to the wireless adapter 7 from the information server 10, the information server 10 selects voice code information corresponding to the request signal for voice synthesis and outputs voice from the speaker 8 after synthesis.
