PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable resin composition for a liquid crystal display element, which does not cause the distortion or breakage of a sealing part in thermal curing even when used as a sealant for the liquid crystal display element for manufacture of the liquid crystal display element using a liquid crystal dispensing method, a sealant for the liquid crystal dispensing method composed of the curable resin composition for the liquid crystal display element, a vertically conducting material and the liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: The curable resin composition for the liquid crystal display element hardens on heating, contains 0.1-40 weight part heat-curing agent and 0.1-30 weight part gelling agent with respect to 100 weight part curable resin, has 200-400 Pa s viscosityη1.0(25°C) measured with an E type viscometer at 25°C and 1.0 rpm and has 20-500 Pa s viscosityη1.0(80°C) measured at 80°C and 1.0 rpm.
