PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt type continuously variable transmission capable of miniaturization. SOLUTION: This transmission is provided with two pulley shafts 51, 61 arranged in parallel with providing a predetermined interval, movable sheaves 53, 63 arranged on the pulley shafts 51, 61 respectively and capable of sliding on the pulley shafts 51, 61 in an axial direction, fixed sheaves 52, 62 arranged on the pulley shafts 51, 61 with facing the movable sheaves 53, 63 respectively and forming grooves 80a, 80b between the movable sheaves 53, 63, and a belt 80 wound around grooves 80a, 80b of the movable sheaves 53, 63 and the fixed sheaves 52, 62 arranged with facing each other. At least one of the movable sheave 53 and a motor 550 which is a drive source of the movable sheave 53 are provided as one unit, and the motor 550 is provided with a movable sheave support part 550d4supporting reverse side of the grooves 80a, 80b of the movable sheaves 53, 63.
