PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control device for a vehicle capable of certainly preventing damage and degradation of an electronic component due to thermal stress without disposing a temperature sensor for measuring ambient temperature. SOLUTION: The electronic control device 1 is mounted to the vehicle and controls operations of various electric apparatuses 7 (7a-7c). The electronic control device 1 comprises a temperature detecting section 9 that is arranged at a position where it receives blast from a motor fan 7a and determines the temperature of the electronic control device 1 based on operation states of the electric apparatuses 7, and a cooling control section 10 for increasing a blast amount by the motor fan 7a when the temperature T0 of the electronic control device 1 is detected to become a predetermined threshold T-th or higher by the temperature detecting section 9 or when it is predicted to become the predetermined threshold T-th or higher.
