<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which prevents the misregistration of an image by equally transferring heat from an external heat source to each LSU so as to positively bring about similar heat distribution. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus, which obtains a final image by forming images on a plurality of photo conductor drums 2 and sequentially superposing the images, is equipped with a plurality of scanning optical systems 1 corresponding to the respective photo conductor drums 2; the same case 8 and the same optical element group 9 and the same heating element 7 are arranged so that the plurality of scanning optical systems 1 can each have the same positional relationship on the basis of the respective photo conductor drums 2; and a heat transfer member 6, which is formed of a material with a higher thermal conductivity than that of the case 8, is arranged in the state of communicating with, coming into contact with or getting close to each case 8, so as to have almost the same positional relationship with each case 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
