PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus with a built-in stroboscope by which photography at various angles is easily performed without changing the angle of a hand to hold the apparatus or shifting the hold on the apparatus. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus has a photographing part 2 integrally equipped with a lens unit 4 and a stroboscopic unit 5, and a display part 3 equipped with a display means 3a to display a picture taken by the photographing part 2. In the apparatus, the photographing part 2 is provided to rotate by 180°to the display part 3 so as to realize stroboscopic photography in both directions on the front face side and the rear face side of the display part 3 by the photographing part 2.
