<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently apply data compression to an electronic certificate with respect to a certificate compressing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: If it is determined that an electronic certificate is a route CA certificate as a result of determination of a certificate type in a certificate type determining section 12, a data eraser 13 erases the data indicated on the issuer field of the electronic certificate, and a certificate register 15 registers the erased electronic certificate in a certificate storage section. Also, when it is determined that the electronic certificate is an intermediate CA certificate or an EE certificate and if the electronic certificate in which the data coinciding with the data indicated on the issuing field of the electronic certificate are indicated in an owner field exists in an electronic certificate group registered in the certificate storage section; the eraser 13 erases the data in the issuer field of the electronic certificate, and the register 15 further registers the electronic certificate into the certificate storage section so that the electronic certificate is correlated to the electronic certificate whose data coincides. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
