<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress fluctuation of supplied water quantity attributable to pressure fluctuation inside a steam generator. <P>SOLUTION: This hydrogen producing apparatus is equipped with steam generators 13, 17 for generating steam 3 by cooling a CO converter 15 and a CO selective oxidizer 19, a steam generator 24 for generating steam 3 by a combustion exhaust gas exhausted from a combustor 23, and volume-type electromagnetic pumps 30, 31 and 32. An amount of water to be supplied to the steam generators 13, 17 is regulated so that the temperature of a catalyst layer is controlled to a set temperature, while an amount of water to be supplied to the steam generator 24 is controlled to that subtracting the amount to be supplied to steam generators 13, 17 from the amount of water for generating steam necessary for the reformer. By using these electromagnetic pumps, the amount of steam 3 to be supplied to the reformer can be adequately kept while maintaining temperatures of the catalyst layers in the CO converter 15 and the CO selective oxidizer 19 at respective activation temperatures since fixed amount of water is forcibly supplied regardless of pressure inside the steam generators 13, 17 and 24 so that fluctuation of supplied water to the steam generator can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
