PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device for a liquid ejection head which improves the cleaning effects of the nozzle face of a liquid ejection head by removing dust together with liquid stuck on the nozzle face with a cleaning roller formed of a fibrous absorber with its surface being in contact with the nozzle face of the liquid ejection head, and a liquid ejection device. SOLUTION: The cleaning device for a print head 10 cleans the nozzle face 12a by moving relative to the print head 10 having the nozzle face 12a provided with an ink ejection nozzle 13 for ejecting ink liquid drops. The face in contact with the nozzle face 12a is formed of a fibrous absorber 23, and is provided with a cleaning roller 20 for wiping the nozzle face 12a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
