PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for keeping the pH of bathwater in a balneal facility, from which the bathwater that is made similar to natural hot spring water and has an optional pH value can be supplied and in which the bathwater can be filtered and sterilized. SOLUTION: This system for keeping the pH of the bathwater is provided with an electrolytic cell for keeping the optional pH value as artificial hot spring water. When the operation of keeping the pH of the bathwater is performed, weakly acidic or weakly alkaline ionized water is produced by the electrolytic cell and the bathwater is circulated through a filtration apparatus. When the operation of cleaning the filtration apparatus is performed, strongly acidic or strongly alkaline ionized water is produced by the electrolytic cell and used for cleaning/sterilizing the filtration apparatus.
