PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine requiring almost no space around an outer case, and to improve workability for taking in and out laundry. SOLUTION: A water tub 4 has an opening 4a opposite to an opening 1a of the outer case 1, and is arranged inside the outer case 1. The opening 1a of the outer case 1 is opened and closed by a nonelastic outer door 3. The outer door 3 is almost entirely stored in the outer case 1, and slides with respect to the outer case 1.
