摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a high rigidity Al-Si alloy based composite material in which Si in an Al-Si alloy matrix is compounded in a high content at a low temperature of≤1,300°C by a permeation method without using a pressurizing device. SOLUTION: The method for producing a high rigidity Al-Si alloy based composite material having a Young's modulus of≥300 GPa comprises: a stage where an Al-Si alloy having an Si content of≤50 mass% is melted; and a stage where the melted Al-Si alloy including Si powder obtained by the heating treatment stage is permeated into a preform composed of an SiC reinforcing material at≤1,300°C under no pressure.
