PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water electrolyzer where gas obtained by electrolysis is not diluted by the open air, and gas having high purity or gas having high concentration can be obtained. SOLUTION: Electrode chambers where, to the inside from the outer edges of both the surfaces of a high polymer electrolytic membrane 5, an anode electrode 1a and cathode electrode 2a composed of catalyst electrodes 7, 8 and electric feeders 1, 2 are arranged, and the anode electrode 1a and the cathode electrode 2a are respectively surrounded by sealing materials 9 surrounding the outside from the outer edges of the anode electrode 1a and the cathode electrode 2a, the high polymer electrolytic membrane 5, and packages 3, 4 are provided, the electrode chambers are provided with gas outlets 11, 12, respectively, and a water feeding part composed of a water passage groove 14 of feeding water from the outside of the sealing material 9 to the high polymer electrolytic membrane 5 and a water feeding path 13 communicated with the water passage groove 14 is provided.
