PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance durability by improving adhesiveness of a jointed portion of a tread rubber to a side rubber, and to eliminate a bent spew of a shoulder portion. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire comprises: a pair of bead cores; a carcass 1 to be wound around the bead cores in a toroidal shape; at least one belt layer 2 arranged at the tire radial direction outside of a crown portion of the carcass 1; a tread rubber 3 arranged at the tire radial direction outside of the belt layer 2; and a pair of side rubbers 4 connected to an end of the tread rubber 3 from the tire axial direction outside. Recesses 6 are provided in an area of at least 5mm in width on both sides in the tire radial direction with the jointed portion n of the tread rubber 3 to the side rubber 4 on the tire surface as its center.
