MOTORIZED ADJUSTABLE CHAIR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust two positions such as the angle of a backrest and the angle of a leg-rest individually with a single motor. SOLUTION: A motorized adjustable chair is provided with a plurality of position-adjustable sections and a motor 2 for activating a position adjusting mechanism for the position-adjustable sections. The single reversible motor 2 is connected with the position-adjusting mechanism through two one-way clutches 22, 24 with different rotation directions for transferring power and a braking means that intercepts the rotation caused by the load of a loading side. The position adjusting mechanism that can transfer the rotation accordingly to the rotation direction of the single motor 2 is switched by using the two one-way clutches 22, 24 with different rotation directions for transferring power.
