PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a uniform and appropriate massaging effect in a massage machine having a massaging means performing a massaging operation and a patting means performing a patting operation. SOLUTION: This massage machine is provided with the massaging means actuating a treating element arm having treating elements toward a backrest part and giving a person to be treated, who leans against the backrest part, the massaging operation by the treating elements. This massage machine is provided with a control part, when the massaging means moves forward the treating element arm to project the treating elements to the person to be treated, the larger the amount of the operation of the treating element arm becomes, weakening the patting operation by the patting means.
