PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disaster preventing system for designating an area where appliances whose predetermined functions should be stopped are set when any disaster such as earthquake occurs, and for simultaneously stopping the predetermined functions of the appliances set in the designated area. SOLUTION: A disaster prevention instructing device (20) specifies an area where a function stopping device (50) which stops predetermined functions is set when any disaster occurs, and specifies disaster preventing devices (10-1 to 10-N) set in the specified area based on the information of the disaster preventing devices (10-1 to 10-N) stored and managed by a storage part installed by the disaster prevention instructing means (20), and transmits the transmission request of a radio signal to the specified disaster preventing devices (10-1 to 10-N). The disaster preventing devices (10-1 to 10-N) transmit a radio signal(interrupting signal) to the predetermined area at the time of receiving the transmission request from the disaster prevention instructing device (20), and the function stopping device (50) stops the predetermined functions to be stopped when any disaster occurs at the time of receiving the radio signal from the disaster preventing devices (10-1 to 10-N).
