PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide speed changing characteristics compensation system of an automatic transmission which can compensate variations in speed change characteristics of individual vehicle without waiting for learning acceleration by actual running to gain a high-quality speed changing. SOLUTION: A trial operation is carried out by a acceptance operation cabin 10 (trial operation equipment) after assembling the automatic transmission 1. A compensating value of oil pressure control data based on a reference characteristics of the automatic transmission 1 is calculated based on the result of the trial operation. And, the calculated compensating value is recorded in a electronic recorder 5 which is previously provided to the automatic transmission 1. After mounting the automatic transmission 1 to a vehicle body 100, the compensating value recorded in the electronic recorder 5 is read out by an electronic control device 50 which controls the automatic transmission 1 to compensate the speed changing characteristics of the automatic transmission 1.
