PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for quickly sedating inflammation attributable to ultraviolet radiation as its care and preventing human body damage attributable to e.g. the abnormal progression of inflammatory factor(s), thus keeping the dermal condition healthy. SOLUTION: A skin care external preparation is provided as the above means. This preparation is obtained by including (1) 0.01-1 mass% of sophoraflavanone G of formula(a) and/or its salt and (2) 0.001-0.1 mass% of a coumarin-like substance of the general formula(1), wherein the coumarin-like substance is preferably coumarin, 4-hydroxycoumarin, daphnetin, Scopoletin, umbelliferone, 4-methylumbelliferone, esculetin or esculin.
