GARBAGE STORAGE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage storage device capable of easily and accurately recognizing an amount of garbage stored in an outdoor garbage storage vessel in a kitchen. SOLUTION: The garbage storage device comprises a garbage throwing port 4 opened to an indoor side while getting through an outer wall 6; a chute 5 obliquely provided so as to penetrate the outer wall 6 in order to discharge the thrown garbage to the outdoor garbage storage vessel 2; a housing part 3 for storing the garbage storage vessel 2; and a position detection means 1 for detecting the position of the garbage stored in the garbage storage vessel 2 and a position display means 9 for displaying the position of the garbage. In the garbage storage device, a positioning projection 341 of the garbage storage vessel 2 is provided on the lowermost part of a side plate 34 hinge-bonded to a back plate 32 of the housing part 3 and a positioning stopper 331 is provided on a bottom surface 35 of the housing part such that it is internally contacted with a side plate 33 opposed to the side plate 34.
