PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive coater capable of selectively coating the upper and lower surfaces of a plate member with an adhesive. SOLUTION: The coater is provided with a first coater 1 capable of coating the lower surface 60b of the plate member 60 with the adhesive, a second coater 2 capable of coating the upper surface 60a of the member 60 with the adhesive, and a transfer means 3 for continuously bring in/out the plate members 60 to/from the first and second coaters. The coater 1 is provided with a first coating roller 4 capable of coating the surface 60b of the member 60 with the adhesive and a first elevating means 9 for elevating the roller 4, and the coater 2 is configured by providing a second coating roller 8 capable of coating the surface 60a of the member 60 with the adhesive and a second elevating means 9 for elevating the roller 8.
