<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reformed hydrogen generator capable of reforming reformed hydrogen of a higher concentration with good response, increasing the amount of the hydrogen to be produced, and promoting downsizing of an apparatus etc., mounted with a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: In the reformed hydrogen generator 1, a catalyst carried on a ribbon 14 and a liquid fuel react to generate the hydrogen but the simultaneously generated hydrate is made to escape from the reaction part of the liquid fuel by the movement of the ribbon 14 and the liquid fuel from a fuel supply part 101 is supplied to a part appearing by the movement of the ribbon 14, i.e., the part where there is no hydrate. Consequently, even when the concentration of the liquid fuel is made as high as 50%, the influence of the hydrate does not cause problems at all and the amount of the hydrogen to be produced can be increased by performing reaction with good response. Further, the amount of the liquid fuel can be decreased corresponding to the higher concentration of the liquid fuel and in addition, the waste liquid is little and the need of means for waste liquid disposal can be eliminated and the downsizing of the reformed hydrogen generator 1 and the apparatus for mounting the liquid fuel can be promoted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
