<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can efficiently produce a 2-benzoyloxyacetaldehyde derivative by using an industrially easily available raw material. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the 2-benzoyloxyacetaldehyde derivative comprises reacting a halogenated acetaldehyde acetal derivative represented by formula (1) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are the same or different and each a hydrocarbon group, and R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>may be bonded to each other to form a ring with the adjacent oxygen-carbon-oxygen bond; and X is a halogen) with a benzoic acid salt represented by formula (2) (wherein M is an alkali metal atom; and the benzene ring may have a substituent) in the presence of an alkali metal halide to obtain a compound represented by formula (3) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are the same as defined above; and the benzene ring may has a substituent). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
