PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare noise by designating arbitrary amplitude distribution characteristics and arbitrary frequency characteristics. SOLUTION: The noise preparation method has a processing determining means in which the following processing is executed. A series of processing groups of a Fourier transform means to a filter processing means, to an inverse Fourier transform means, to an average value difference detecting means, to a transform target detecting means, and to a pixel value exchange processing means regarding noise data after pixel value exchange processing, are executed repeatedly at least two times. An average square error regarding differential data in each processing group is calculated. It is determined whether the average square error is reduced or not in the succeeding processing groups. When it is reduced, a series of the processing groups are further repeated regarding the noise data after the pixel value exchange processing. When it is not reduced, a series of the processing groups are further repeated by setting an M pair to half until M becomes one.
