PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus, capable of effectively reducing longitudinally stripe shaped fixed pattern noise, without being affected by effects, such as variations in reset of pixel transistors, and to provide a drive method of the solid-state imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: A same potential-level setting circuit 141 in a CMOS image sensor 10A carries out setting of the same potential level between two of vertical signal lines 112 and a memory device 22 stores a signal outputted through a CDS circuit 142 as a reference signal to correct the longitudinally stripe shaped fixed pattern noise, and a digital signal processing circuit 21 uses the reference signal to carry out correction processing of the longitudinally stripe shaped fixed pattern noise.
