PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body structure capable of absorbing the shock against an input of a load which may be of various sizes. SOLUTION: A deck garnish 1 has thin wall parts 8, 9, 10 deformable with a load F applied from above to the deck garnish 1 through a bonnet 4 and a thin wall part 11 to make deformation or rupture after deformation of the thin wall parts 8, 9, 10, and absorbs the shock through deformation of the thin wall parts 8, 9, 10 when an input of a small load is made, and when input of load is relatively large, absorbs the shock sufficiently through deformation or rupture of the thin wall part 11 after deformation of the thin wall parts 8, 9, 10.
