The method involves connecting a universal serial bus (USB) memory key to a USB port of a telecommunication terminal e.g. telephone, before any access request to record authentication information of an account on the USB key to communicate the information to a service. The memory key comprising a USB connection is utilized as information storage media for the authentication of a user account. An independent claim is also included for a detachable storage media of the type universal serial bus (USB) memory key comprising a USB connection.
