<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active energy ray-curable aqueous ink for inkjet recording which is polymerized immediately by active energy ray, generates a cured substance having high degree of crosslinking, and has excellent adhesive property, low viscosity, excellent storage stability with time and good discharge stability, and also to provide an inkjet recording method, an ink cartridge, a recording unit and an inkjet recording apparatus using the ink. <P>SOLUTION: The active energy ray-curable aqueous ink contains at least water and a polymerizable substance which undergoes radical polymerization by active energy ray. The active energy ray-curable aqueous ink is characterized by that the polymerizable substance is an aqueous polymerizable substance represented by formula (I).
