MAGNETIC TONER, ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD AND PROCESS CARTRIDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic toner which improves stripes appearing on a graphic image when magnetic toner having relatively broad distribution of grain size is used, and which does not decrease the image density when the toner is used.

SOLUTION: The magnetic toner contains a binder resin and magnetic powder and has 4 to 11 μm weight average particle diameter. The magnetic toner contains a component having low specific gravity by 2 to 10 mass%, wherein the weight average particle diameter of the low specific gravity component is 1.2 to 5 times as the weight average diameter of the magnetic toner and the weight average particle diameter of the toner is ≤20 μm. The average circularity of the low specific gravity component in the magnetic toner is ≥0.930. The particles in the magnetic toner having 10 to 16 μm circle-equivalent diameter have ≥0.930 average circularity. The magnetic toner is to be used for single component development.
