<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container equipped with a cap with a brush for storing a necessary liquid to be applied, which exhibits excellent closure effects to prevent the liquid from leaking. <P>SOLUTION: A cylindrical suspended piece 6 is concentrically suspended inside a cap body 3 and outside a handle-like lever 4. The hanging piece 6 has its lower end split into two branches, thereby forming an outer split piece 6a and an inner split piece 6b suspended longer than the piece 6a. The external surface of the piece 6b is a tapered spherical surface 6c, with its tapered degree is such that a wider diameter part is larger than an opening diameter of a mouth 2 and its narrower diameter part is smaller than the opening diameter of the mouth 2. The tapered spherical surface 6c comes into pressure contact with a suspended spherical surface 2c of the mouth 2, whereby the mouth is sealed.
