<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt takeup device certainly making constant a force in the direction of restricting the draw-out applied to a seat belt when the seat belt is drawn out of a retractor at the time of the EA operation. <P>SOLUTION: The seat belt takeup device includes a pre-tentioner PT to generate a pre-tension through such procedures that balls 15 set in a pipe 11 are moved through a piston 14 installed in the pipe 11 by the pressure of the gas given by a gas generator 12, and that a pre-tension gear 18 is meshed with a gear 20 coupled with a spool by the balls 15 ejected from a ball outlet 50 provided in the pipe 11 to cause the pre-tension gear 18 to rotate for generating the pre-tension, wherein the pre-tension gear 18 is structured so that a sleeve part 52 is protruded in the axial direction from the gear body part 51 and energized toward the ball outlet 50 while the sleeve part 52 is pressed by a torsion bar 53. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
