<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a receptacle to be surely fixed to a board and to allow three components such as a shell and a body constituting a plug and the receptacle to be surely fixed and locked to one another, in a connector for wire connection. <P>SOLUTION: The plug 4 includes electrodes for connecting wires W, the body 2 for holding them and the shell 3 covering them; and in the body 2 and the shell 3, projections and body engagement edges formed at right and left ends thereof are engaged with each other (engagement parts P). The receptacle 7 includes electrodes 5 for connecting the electrodes of the plug 4 thereto, a housing 6 for holding them, and holding fittings 8 each having a projection 81. In fitting the plug 4 to the receptacle 7, fitting and locking (engagement parts Q) are carried out by hooking engaging receptacle engagement edges 32 formed on the shell 3 on the plug 4 side to the projections 81 of the holding fittings 8 on the receptacle 7 side to establish electrical connection between the shell 3 and the holding fittings 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
