PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing wall which enables a floor to be easily constructed, and which reduces construction cost of a building excellent in earthquake resisting performance. SOLUTION: A gap 10, wherein a floor surface material 9 can be arranged, is provided between a top surface 3A of a sill 3 and a lower end surface 7C of structural plywood 7, and an edge part 9A of the floor surface material 9 can be placed from either side of a frame material 6 of the bearing wall 1. This dispenses with a floor bearing member for bearing the floor surface material 9, and facilitates construction work for the floor. Additionally, a surface 7A of the structural plywood 7 is prevented from protruding outward with respect to a side surface 4C of a column 4, so that the thicknesses of the bearing wall 1 and the non-bearing wall 20 can be uniformalized, and so that an exterior wall 25 or an interior wall 21 can be formed of the bearing wall 1 and the non-bearing wall 20. In this case, an adjusting material for adjusting a surface position is made unnecessary, and construction work for the exterior wall 25 and the interior wall 21 is facilitated.
