PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus and an image display method easily finding an actual dimension of an internal site of a subject. SOLUTION: Because a radiograph is a magnified image of the actual subject, if a distance is measured from the obtained image, a value obtained is larger than the actual dimension. This image display apparatus, when measuring the length, displays a magnification ratio with the measurement value and allows the user to understand how much magnified it is from the actual dimension. This apparatus further displays imaging environment such as the positional relation and the attitude between a tube (an X-ray source) and a sensor for indicating how the image is photographed.
