The device has a brake cylinder with a case (3), and pistons (15, 16) movable in translation in the case. A sector gear (14) is movable in rotation around an axle (38) coaxial to an axis of the piston. A seat belt pretensioner is mounted partially in the piston (15). The pretensioner has a screw maintained in a position by a toothed swivel that is disposed in an extension of the piston (15). An independent claim is also included for a drum brake equipped with a brake control device.
