<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distal end portion of a side viewing type endoscope with a driving arm which is designed to drive a forceps elevator, ensures a sufficient strength, and moves smoothly in the entire rotational region without interference with an inner surface of a lid-shaped member on rotating. <P>SOLUTION: A first chamfer part 15 for preventing interference between the driving arm 10 disposed in a depressed portion 8 of a main body 2 of the distal end portion and the inner surface of the lid-shaped member 13 closing the surface of the depressed portion 8 is formed all over the width of the driving arm 10. A second chamfer part 16 for preventing the interference between the driving arm 10 on rotating by remote operation and the inner surface of the lid-shaped member 13 is formed only at an angular portion formed by an edge line of the first chamfer part 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
